TIMMMBERRRR!!!

It has been a while since I posted a building update, partly because of laziness, and partly because our recent progress has been super-visible and obvious! EVERYBODY around town seems to have been talking about our building suddenly springing up out of the granite on that hill. I am asked about it frequently, everywhere I go around town!

So, it is pretty obvious that most of the building’s outer shell is being worked at this time.

This past week, the TIMBER crew arrived to begin installing the big timber pieces that will accent the exterior of the building. This was NOT part of the original design, but we really wanted to bring a little of the feel of the current facility over to the new one. AND it will look great!

Framing

Some of the interior framing has begun as well. The office wing has tracks on the floor where each wall will be, and the outer framing is mostly in place. Some of the auditorium has been framed in already also!

Don’t worry.. This won’t all happen too quickly. Before all the framing can be installed, we have to get the fire suppression system in place, and the HVAC will need to go in also. It will be interesting to see how these teams work around each other.

Power

Oh, I forgot to mention that the power transformer has been installed, and we now finally have electricity on our site!

The transformer is at the northwestern corner of the building
