Sunday Rundown

Thanks to everyone who invited friends and family to the “Storm Story” service this week! Wow, what an amazing crowd we had! It’s a great thing that we decided to open up “The Overlook” for the teenagers upstairs, because we barely had enough seats for everybody downstairs. I think the only available seats were on the front row. PLUS, we had over 20 people in the upstairs room. Seems like we are getting closer and closer to having to start that second service!

Sunday’s message was one of my all-time favorites. Not just because I really loved the truths there, but because of the incredible testimonies of some close friends. Those videos were very powerful, and even had me teared up. A BIG, BIG thanks goes to Chuck & Gail Vautrot, Amy Balfa, and Steve & Saber Marks. You guys are awesome. Thanks for sharing your hearts and your storms with us on Sunday. In case you missed it, you can download the message from the podcast page. I will check and see if we can get the videos up online, also.

So, here are a few of my thoughts on this week’s service:

  • It was awesome to see so many new faces in the service! Great to meet new friends. I could tell that a lot of our folks went out of their way to invite people.
  • Big key: God doesn’t morph to my circumstances… He morphs ME in my circumstances into HIS image!
  • We STILL NEED HELP in the nursery and preschool! There were only a few kids this week, but the SAME people are ON week after week.
  • We need more comfortable furniture for those kids in “The Overlook.”
  • The band does a great job
  • John Crawford is an amazing individual… Thanks for loaning the drums to us.
  • I hope everyone has a great week!
