They started just after 2AM on Thursday, July 24 and had the whole thing in place by early that same afternoon. It took 60 full cement trucks to pour our 4″ slab. Those guys were ON IT, and everyone did a superb job.
THANK YOU to Connie and David Spear for bringing some fantastic breakfast to everyone on the job site. Again. You guys are awesome.
We aren’t just going to watch the concrete cure over the next few weeks… Expect to see more site work done in the coming week. More grading around the building, Re-burying cable that was installed a little shallow, and digging out the retention ponds.
Did you know our power was scheduled to be connected onto the property back in mid-May? We’re still waiting on that. You might remember that May brought LOTS and LOTS of rain, delaying the utility company significantly. Right now, it sounds like they will be out to make that connection at the beginning of the week. This involves cutting across Highland Valley Way, the small residential street on the West side of our property. It may be a temporary, minor inconvenience for the residents there. I hope they will understand.
