In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Where is the good in the pain brought by the sword for both the evangelizer as well as the unbeliever?
“We must remember to use our swords and our faithful words in a manner that is careful and precise.” (pg.139)
Why? What are the consequences if we don’t?
