Sherry and I just got back from a “Church Planter’s Boot Camp,” where we took 16 units of coursework, learning about establishing core values, strategies, small groups, administrative issues, and lots of other helpful things.
I was really encouraged that among the seven church planting teams at the small conference, there were three Caucasian teams, two African American teams, and two Hispanic teams. Not only that, but one of our exercises was to diagram out the structure of our church. It was really cool to see how each church was modeled differently… None of them were the same. Isn’t it great how the Holy Spirit works differently in different people groups and in different places to reveal the same God?
We learned a lot, and we made some new friends. Now, we just have to process all the stuff we learned!
