IN March, we had our first consultation for Audio, Visual, and Lighting in our new facility. I am so grateful that Jeff Parker, Gill Sterling, and John Crawford are on that team, because they all talked forever about lighting, speaker arrays, mixers, sequencers, and power management… I was cross-eyed before it was all done. These guys really know their stuff and I think overall they were very pleased.
All this tech stuff is a budget line item within our design/build contract. If we overspend here, we will have to reduce spending in other areas (decor, furniture, etc.) Like with any budget, it is all a big balancing act for us. We will definitely not be going crazy with this… We are seeking to be excellent, not excessive.
